About

I distinctly remember covering my first football game for my high school yearbook and instantly knowing I wanted to become a professional sports photographer. From that day on, everything I did was with the sole intent of bringing me closer to my goal.

The idea for Sports In Frame has been bouncing around in my head for a while. When I was in high school looking for advice on taking better sports photographs, there were few resources beyond the basic settings and minimal techniques. I wanted more creative and firsthand advice that would help me beyond those basic, yet vitally important, skills.

Once I got to college, other students would ask me questions about sports photography. Over time, I noticed my feedback and advice would be the same. That was when I realized I should to put my advice in one place and make it accessible to anyone who wanted it.

In college, I began building this site with a classmate in our multimedia class just before the COVID-19 pandemic sent us all home. At the time, I was not able to complete the website. But now I’ve graduated and have time to finish what I started.
